|
The Japenese invented the Belt Grading System to help a student progress through their martial arts training, with the coveted BLACK BELT now a renowned qualification. All the Students that succesfully grade, receive a Certificate and a Coloured Belt to show their level of personal achievement. A student who trains twice a week should expect to grade approximately every three months for the beginner grades and every six months for advanced grades until Black Belt level. All techniques are done in Mid Air & on Pads. With addition you will have to perform Counter techniques, Sparring, Balance, Flexibility, Control, Fitness, Blocking, Pad work and even written exams as you progress to being an instructor and a Black Belt yourself. The first two grades are done with 5 sections, and all others are done with 10 sections. You are required to achieve 65% to pass your grades.
